August by Neil Landstrumm is an experimental techno album that pushes the boundaries of electronic music. The album features dark, brooding tracks that are both atmospheric and intense. Landstrumm's use of unusual sounds and textures adds a unique dimension to the music, creating a sonic landscape that is both compelling and unsettling.

The opening track, "The Rise of Slime," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its gritty beats and distorted synth lines. From there, Landstrumm takes the listener on a journey through a variety of sonic landscapes, from the pulsing rhythms of "Flesh is Weak" to the eerie, otherworldly sounds of "The Last Survivors."

Neil Landstrumm has released records on a wide variety of electronic music's finest labels over the last two decades and is one of the true innovators in techno. Highlights include 123s and LPs for Peacefrog, Tresor and Planet Mu records and has recently released his tenth career LP, Dragon Under on the UKs Sneaker Social Club label. 2017 has seen a plethora of 12"s including synthwave and italo influenced releases on the Giallo Disco and Moustache records from the Clone family in Holland. Other note worthy collaborations have been with Optimos JD Twitch as Doubleheart, Sugar Experiment Station with Tobias Schmidt, and Modini with Alan 'Hostage' Parley recently released on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams. Essentially a live hardware based artist since the beginning of his career, he has toured internationally for the last 20 years with regular events in Europe, Japan and China. Landstrumm also lived in New York for a number of years but is now based back in Edinburgh working from his own Witness Rooms studio. A pioneer of new electronic styles with a signature techno sound often copied and imitated, he has always been, and continues to be, a unique electronic artist. [email protected]
